Own Your Digital Blueprint
Know where your website, domain, email, and customer information live. Use this checklist to record who controls each account and what you need to keep access.
Start with an account list
List your domain registrar, hosting, WordPress login, business email, analytics, advertising accounts, and customer database. Record the account owner and recovery contact. Keep passwords in a password manager, not in a shared spreadsheet.
Check access before changing providers
Sign in with an account your business controls. Confirm that recovery email addresses and phone numbers belong to you. Ask your provider what you can export, which licenses transfer, and what stops working when the agreement ends.
Keep a usable handover
Keep a current backup, an account list, and notes about how the site connects to forms and other tools. Ask someone to explain how you would restore the site and test the contact path.
Choose the next step
Read the website ownership guide for more detail. If you need help reviewing the site and its systems, see the Website Foundation Audit ($799).
